Phil's Friends Card Team hits Record Numbers!
an effort to bring continuous hope to cancer patients, Phils Friends volunteers have been creating and sending weekly cards to patients. "As of June 1st a milestone number of 500 cards per week are distributed out of our Roselle, IL office. These cards are being sent throughout the United States providing encouragement to those in their cancer journey." remarked founder, Phil Zielke.
School children in a five state region have been designing personal cards and mailing them to us for distribution from our office. One grateful card recipient thankfully remarked, "The cards seem to always come at the time when I need my spirit lifted most."
In addition to the 500 weekly cards being sent from the office, other volunteers have signed up to adopt up to 5 patients and send weekly cards on their own from their homes.
